This policy explains what personal information divinitydigits.com (the “Site”) collects, why, and what choices you have. The Site is operated by Centaur Media Group (“we”, “us”), based in Pakistan. You can reach us at info@divinitydigits.com.
What we collect
- Messages you send us: your name, email address, subject and message when you use the contact form.
- Newsletter: only your email address, if you subscribe.
- Automatic data: your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit and the time you spend on them (our “Log Data”).
- Cookies and similar technology: described below.
How we use it
To reply to your messages, to send the newsletter you asked for, to understand which pages are useful, to show ads that pay for the Site, and to keep the Site secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and consent
- Light and dark mode: a cookie remembers your choice for 30 days. It holds nothing about you personally.
- Weather reading: a cookie remembers your approximate city so the top bar can show your local weather.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics (through Site Kit) and Jetpack Stats to see how the Site is used.
- Advertising: Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads on the Site. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message so you can choose which cookies to allow. To see it again and change your choice, clear this Site’s cookies in your browser. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the Site may then not work.
Weather in the top bar
To show the weather where you are, your IP address is sent to ipinfo.io, which tells us roughly which city you are in. We then ask WeatherAPI.com for that city’s forecast. We do not store your IP address, and it is never linked to your name or email. If your location cannot be worked out, we show the weather for New York.
Our weekly email
If you subscribe, we ask only for your email address. The list is run through Jetpack, a service by Automattic, which stores your address and sends the emails for us. We use it only to send our weekly email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. We never sell, rent or share our list.
The name calculator
Our calculators work entirely inside your browser. What you type is never sent to us or saved.
Services that process data for us
Google (AdSense, Analytics and Google Fonts, which load from Google’s servers and so receive your IP address), Automattic (Jetpack), our hosting provider Hostinger, ipinfo.io and WeatherAPI.com. They process data only to provide their service and under their own privacy policies. Some are based outside your country, including in the United States.
Why we are allowed to use your data (EEA and UK)
We rely on your consent for advertising and analytics cookies and for the newsletter. We rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the Site, and on your request when you write to us and we reply.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to reply and keep a record, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to Google’s settings.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to restrict or stop using it, or to give you a copy. You can withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents: we do not sell personal information. Email us and we will reply within one month.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage on the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
The Site links to sites we do not run. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not aimed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us some, email us and we will delete it.
Legal requests and changes
We will disclose personal information where the law requires it. We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date above will change.
